Streaky Bacon aims to foster dialogue about both the teaching and research of Victorian adaptations. Our site began as a venue to collect short, descriptive posts about these adaptations, with an eye towards their use in the classroom. But we also hope readers will share with us their thoughts about adaptation studies, Victorian studies, pedagogy, the Victorians in the twenty-first century, or other related topics.

To that end, we invite you to read these short essays, each written by a member of our board and posing a question, and to respond in the comments.

Thomas Leitch: “What do Victorianists think of recent developments in adaptation studies?”

Kamilla Elliott: “What can Victorian studies learn from adaptation studies?”
